Going Green!

Having great difficulty getting my daughter to sit down and eat anything, in her pre-school years, I had noticed that she enjoyed watching: snooker; horse-racing; tennis; and all things relating to the colour green and making a clicking / tapping sound. So we took full advantage, throughout the years, when these sports were on the TV! Distraction was a good strategy for many difficult experiences.

Seeing The Picture!

When faced with new situations that required thorough preparation, or needed reflection, we found that drawing pictures and relating to photographs was very useful. If our daughter could visualise things, then that worked best - including making up a story when trying to address something that had happened, and lessons needed to be learnt. It helped with developing role play skills.
