Aspire: Fife EmployAbility Team
As part of council's new effort to help disabled people gain meaningful employment, the Fife EmployAbility Team now have an initiative, Spire, run by Jill Morris, that caters for the employment and vocational training needs of Fifers with either AS or HFA. The SAY (Same As You) project, run by Roseanne Fearon, aims to implement the recommendation of the review report of helping adults with various learning disabilities into full-time employment. It works in close liaison with the Fife EmployAbility Team, day centres and a number of disability rights and support organisations.
Wake Up 2 Say, run by John Wilson, is an offshoot of the SAY Project employing people with a range of learning disabilities, including some in the autistic spectrum, in the editing and production of videos, CD-ROMs, artwork, badges, fridge magnets and labels in their Glenrothes premises.

Moving Into Work
Based in Edinburgh, Moving Into work now covers a wider area and specialises in finding employment for people with high-functioning autistic conditions such as Asperger's Syndrome and acquired brain injuries.

ELAS - Edinburgh Lothian Asperger Society
Strictly speaking for residents of Edinburgh and the Lothians, but welcoming people from wider afield, this new support group caters for talented adults with Asperger's Syndrome. Meetings are held on second Mondays of every month. ELAS now has a Web site.
